Welcome to a new app experience entitled, “DamajaUK – The Journey”. So what’s the purpose of this app? Firstly, it’s an app to showcase Android development (using the Kotlin programming language). Basically, this started as displaying the DamajaUK website, progressing to a feature-rich app. To start with, the idea was to create a list of skills developed using the Kotlin language on the Android system. But then, it seemed better to move away from a technical CV-style approach.
The focus of this app is to create something that demonstrates the skills and capabilities developed to date.

Keeping up to date with what’s going on in the world of reality tv can be time consuming and inconsistent. Having to download a series of apps and checking each one, or even having to check the internet separately. Here, “DamajaUK – The Journey” app shows you how this could all be brought into one place. Using a single framework, with minor modifications for each show you become used to a simple, but informative layout.

CHiP: The Friendly Character in a World of Fantasy
While most of the features in the app are of a factual nature, adding CHiP was intended to add a little bit of a fun side. CHiP is a fictional character, aimed at being the fun part of the DamajaUK ecosystem. Covering a number of development elements within the app, giving a simple approach to the app functionality. Starting off, CHiP is placed in a touch-based game, where the user has to move pieces around to form a picture, and then a puzzle-type game. A more advanced development approach, incorporates advanced graphics programming to present to the user a scroller-type game.
